Despite involving a chuff load of work (and learning a lot! That’s the key bit here), everything visibly cool about this little game was supplied in the form of pre-existing models, animations and scripts. While the tutorial allowed me to write the PlayerController script, and a few other bits and bobs, the bulk of the work was spent learning features within Unity itself – Animator states, Nav Meshes, UI gubbins – and just general familiarisation with the Unity UI and Inspector.
Anyway, here’s the end result of about 10 hours work (again, remember that Chrome has removed Unity support, so Firefox is a better shout here) – a nifty little isometric shooter where this little chap is woken up by zombie toys, and proceeds to blow the stuffing out of them using this massive bloody gun that he just happened to have lying about his bedroom. Enjoy!
